By popular demand, we are including all three of the super-talented Hemsworth brothers. Luke Hemsworth (42), Chris Hemsworth (39), and Liam Hemsworth (33) grew up in Australia on a cattle ranch. When asked on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2016 if the brothers had been raised “basically like a pack of wild dingoes,” Luke responded: “Yeah, the Hemsworth house of horrors. We’d wake up in the morning and literally say, ‘See ya, mum,’ and just disappear into the bush.” On another television appearance (the Graham Norton Show), Liam spoke of the rivalry with his older brothers being often like “the Hunger Games” as Luke and Chris would wrap him up in layers of clothing so that they could chase him around.
The family moved to Phillip Island, south of Melbourne. It was there that all three boys began acting in school plays – developing their talents. But the big breaks for all three men came in the 2010s when they moved from Australia to Hollywood.
Luke had a cameo role in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok – alongside brother Chris. He reprised the role of Thor in Love and Thunder in 2022. He was also security officer Ashley Stubbs in HBO’s popular series Westworld.
Chris’s big break was landing the role of Thor in 2011. Recently, he reprised the role in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). His career has been prolific with other film roles in Star Trek (2009), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Red Dawn (2012), Blackhat (2015); Men in Black International (2019) and Extraction (2020).
In 2011, Liam hit the spotlight as Gale in the Hunger Games franchise. He then appeared in Independence Day, Resurgence, The Dressmaker, and Isn’t it Romantic?
Parents, Leonie and Craig Hemsworth, did a pretty terrific job raising Luke, Chris and Liam.
