The Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2025 World Series, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays in one of the most exciting finals in history – a nail-biting, 11-inning, 5-4 Game 7 victory. This victory marks their second consecutive World Series title, making them the first team in 25 years to achieve the feat. There’s no question that this is a glorious period in the Dodgers’ franchise history, and the elation felt by Angelenos has been a major lift to the city.
The Dodgers’ heroes of the nail-biting Game 7 night:
Miguel Rojas’ ninth inning solo homer tied the game and broke the Blue Jays’ lead. Rojas’ game-saving defensive play was super impressive.
Will Smith’s 11th inning solo homer gave the Dodgers their first lead of the game.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto got the final eight outs for his team, which was more than any other L.A. pitcher in that game. His performance was exemplary.
