2024 Stanley Cup Excitement

There has never been a more exciting time to be a hockey fan. The league is steeped in a wealth of young talent (under age 25) that are going to strengthen the game considerably for a long time to come. These skilled youngsters include Connor Bedard (Chicago Blackhawks), Matty Beniers (Seattle Kraken) and our own local Trevor Moore, who has been the leading scorer for the LA Kings.

The NHL’s depth is enhanced by legendary players Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers) and Auston Matthews (Toronto Maple Leafs) who provide compelling spectator thrills.

The top teams: Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars, New York Rangers. Last year’s Stanley Cup Final featured the Florida Panthers vs the Vegas Golden Knights with Las Vegas winning their first Stanley Cup in their franchise history.

The LA Kings began the season as one of the hottest teams, winning 11 straight games on the road but then they lost 12 of 14 games in mid-December through January.

The 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs will begin on Monday, April 15th and will wrap up with the Stanley Cup finals that start on Monday, June 3rd.
